In May 1886, the blood of workers spilled in Chicago ignited a struggle that still burns throughout the world: the fight against capitalist exploitation and the unwavering path toward life and the emancipation of workers. And this May Day, in every corner of the planet, the working class will commemorate their martyrdom not as an act of faith or resignation, but as a battle cry that resounds against the exploitation of capital.

Today, the workers of the world have more than enough reasons to rise up: countless demands are emerging from factories, fields, and cities, wherever exploitation deepens and life becomes increasingly precarious. Among these sentiments, the condemnation of the resurgence of US imperialism’s aggression resonates strongly. Together with Israeli Zionism, US imperialism has brought war to the Middle East, with attacks and military intervention against Iran and Lebanon in a conflict that has escalated with bombings and troop deployments. They are perpetrating a genocide against the Palestinian people, while simultaneously maintaining policies of pressure and aggression against nations like Venezuela and Cuba.

The aggression of US imperialism is not an isolated event, but rather a symptom of a decline it has been experiencing for years; a desperate response to preserve its global hegemony against what it identifies as its main rival, imperialist China, which today is challenging its economic and geopolitical power. In this struggle between powers, where alliances are being reconfigured and conflicts intensifying –as so often in history– it is the workers, the youth, and the people who bear the brunt of the crisis, the war, and the exploitation.

Faced with this reality, the workers and the people cannot and must not take sides with one power or another; Imperialism, by its very nature, is rapacious and an enemy of the people, regardless of the guise it adopts. Amidst the intensification of inter-imperialist contradictions, our position is clear: we do not align ourselves with one power or another, but with those who resist and fight.

We stand with the peoples who struggle for their emancipation, for their right to exist with dignity and sovereignty. We raise our banners of solidarity with Iran, Lebanon, the heroic Palestinian people, and with all those who, in every corner of the world, confront capitalist exploitation, oppression, and violence. Their struggles are our struggles, because in each one lies the possibility of a different future, a world without classes or exploitation.

In the current context, we call for the unity of all anti-imperialist and anti-fascist forces to confront the enemies of the people. It is necessary to block their path with a firm and powerful unity, one that is not merely a slogan, but organized and conscious action.

Let our strength be expressed in daily action, in every space where workers resist, in every country where voices rise up against exploitation and injustice. Let us build a front that acts globally, nourished by the concrete battles we wage in our territories, capable of striking at imperialism and paving the way for emancipation.

The capitalist system faces a critical moment today that exposes its inability to guarantee life. While we witness a greater concentration of wealth in the hands of a few, the living conditions of the working class and the popular sectors are deteriorating alarmingly.

The economic adjustment policies, implemented by governments in the service of capital, have only led to increased poverty rates, higher unemployment, and greater levels of exploitation. Capitalism is not –and never was– a path to well-being for the people.

To achieve true emancipation, it is a historical imperative to overthrow the capitalist-imperialist system. Instead, let us build a new society, founded on the expropriation of the expropriators, justice, and free and dignified work: the workers’ society, socialism.

We lost our esteemed comrade Vijay, the founder of the Revolutionary Democracy Organization of India, on April 17.

Our comrade passed away in New Delhi, at Apollo Hospital, as a result of the cursed illness he had contracted –an illness which had reached its final stage and for which a cure should long since have been found.

The irreparable loss of our comrade has deeply affected us. He will no longer be able to attend our meetings with his wise character, nor offer us new contributions. We will no longer be able to count on his wise insights and contributions at our meetings, but the cause for which Comrade Vijay lived and fought will triumph. Just as victory was achieved in Russia through the October Revolution in the absence of Marx and Engels, so too will victory be achieved in India and throughout the world in the absence of Comrade Vijay. We know that future generations will ultimately witness its irreversible and definitive triumph. Yet these truths do not ease our sorrow. Our grief is profound.

What offers us solace is that Comrade Vijay encompassed so much within his life and his contributions he left behind to the Marxist-Leninist movement, entrusted to the international working class.

Comrade Vijay was among those distinguished comrades who undertook the task of building a bridge between Soviet socialism and the contemporary communist movement, thereby enabling the international revolutionary workers’ movement to benefit from the experiences of the previous period.

He made it his mission to facilitate the progress of future generations, to whom he would pass on the banner of Marxism-Leninism that he had defended throughout his life; for this reason, he learned Russian and spent part of his life in Russia, studying Lenin and his works. Through his research in Soviet archives, he was the foremost figure among those who conveyed to us and to future generations numerous truths –long obscured and distorted– about the construction of socialism in the Soviet Union and the period during which the Comintern organized and directed the international communist movement. We became aware, through Comrade Vijay’s work, of many debates, speeches, political positions, and practical realities of that era that had remained hidden or had been altered by modern revisionist betrayal. The journal Revolutionary Democracy, of which he was the editor, became not only a vehicle for seeking solutions to the problems of the Indian revolution, but also a means of transmitting these lessons from the past into the future.

There is no doubt that we will try to fill our comrade’s place, but we will always feel his absence.

Glory to Comrade Vijay, a devoted fighter of the Marxist-Leninist struggle!

Long live Marxism-Leninism!
Long live the international revolutionary workers’ movement!
Forward for the victory of the communist cause!

On March 30, the Israeli Knesset passed a law granting Israeli courts the power to hand down death sentences against Palestinian prisoners without fully guaranteeing their right to a defense. This reveals the fascist nature of Israeli Zionism, which not only tortures and murders women, children, and the elderly, but also resorts to physical elimination in prison. This death penalty is not applied to Israeli citizens under the same legal framework.

The criminals Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, and Smeitrich have exploited the global obsession with the devastating US war against Iran and Lebanon, and its economic and financial repercussions for the region and the world, to impose the most racist and discriminatory laws imaginable. These laws grant the courts unlimited powers to murder Palestinians under the guise of legality. They are specifically targeted against Palestinians and contain no similar provisions to address the crimes of settlers, even when they deliberately murder Palestinians for political revenge, with complete impunity and without fear of being held accountable or prosecuted by powerless international organizations.

This is happening with the complicity of imperialist states and reactionary Arab regimes that have supported the Zionist regime since the beginning of the war of extermination against the Palestinian people, who defend their land and dignity with exceptional resilience and dedication. The actions of today’s criminals are reminiscent of the massacres and atrocities perpetrated by Nazism and colonialism against numerous resistance movements around the world.

The law authorizing the execution of prisoners demonstrates the occupying state’s contempt for principles and values, as well as for the minimum legal standards established by international agreements that demand the humane treatment of prisoners of war. This situation has sparked a wave of widespread outrage among democratic organizations and revolutionary anti-fascist forces, while many reactionary forces and Western capitalist countries remain silent in the face of selective decisions concerning the rights and freedoms of the Palestinian people.

The International Conference of Parties and Organizations Marxist-Leninist (CIPOML) affirms:

– Its categorical rejection of the death penalty law and the Israeli judicial system, as well as its condemnation of the Zionist apartheid regime.

– We express our support for the struggle of the Palestinian people and for the prisoners held in the occupation’s jails, and we call upon democratic and revolutionary organizations and forces worldwide to develop a solidarity campaign with Palestinian political prisoners in Israel.

– The need to take concrete measures, such as the prosecution and trial of those responsible for this law and their political and diplomatic isolation.

– The urgent need to act to ensure the protection of Palestinian prisoners, guarantee the full enjoyment of their rights, and closely monitor Israel’s practices toward them.

While the so-called negotiations were ongoing, the new US-Israeli military attack against Iran demonstrates the brutality of US imperialism, which is the main source of war, instability, and the danger to world peace.

The ongoing war is a continuation of the attack carried out on 13 June last year, and the US used the negotiations as a screen while preparing its cursed blow.

The aggressive policy of the US towards Iran and other countries must be evaluated in the context of deepening imperialist contradictions and increasing US actions against the peoples in various regions of the world, especially in the Middle East and Latin America. The accusations made against Iran yesterday and today are merely a cover used to justify warmongering policies, as was the case in Iraq in the past. Now they have dropped their masks and openly called for regime change.

The United States, trying to take full control of the Middle East, together with Israeli Zionism, has recently carried out repeated military attacks against Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. The attacks against Iran are part of this imperialist strategy, as was condemned by CIPOML at that time.

We recognise Iran’s right to defend itself; therefore, without denying the reactionary nature of the “mullahs”, the priority is to condemn and stop US-Israeli imperialist aggression.

For this reason, we call on the peoples of the Middle East and the whole world to mobilise against imperialist-Zionist aggression to strengthen the struggle for peace.

The International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organisations (CIPOML) firmly reiterates its determined condemnation of the aggression committed by U.S. imperialism against Venezuela and its people.

The CIPOML calls upon revolutionary organisations, the working class, and the peoples of the world to draw the necessary experiences and lessons from these tragic events, the consequences of which are still unfolding.

Venezuela in the framework of inter-imperialist contradictions

This terrorist act reveals, first and foremost, the deepening of the aggressive, expansionist, and predatory character of U.S. imperialism, inscribed in a strategy defined by its ruling elites to sustain their global hegemony, recover areas of influence lost over time, and expand into new zones in the world. This orientation is formulated in the 2025 National Security Strategy, released by the U.S. government at the end of the last year.

In that same logic of imperialist aggression, the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, as well as the murder of a hundred men and women—including civilians—constitutes an act of international banditry that flagrantly violates International Law and represents a direct attack on the independence and sovereignty of Venezuela. Nothing can justify an action of this nature by the government of Donald Trump, which deserves only the strongest repudiation and the solidary condemnation of the workers and peoples of the world.

The U.S. attack against Venezuela and current events cannot be fully understood unless analyzed within the framework of growing inter-imperialist struggles and contradictions which, for example, have the war in Ukraine—involving principally Russia, the United States, and European powers—as one of their critical points.

Can the U.S. attack against Venezuela—immediately followed by incentives for oil monopolies to invest and produce in the country—be separated from the fact that, until recently, China absorbed more than half of exported Venezuelan oil and stood as its main trading partner? Is it possible to ignore that China has granted loans to Venezuela exceeding 70 billion dollars, consolidating itself as its top financial guarantor?

Can one ignore that this very link with China has been an essential element of the Venezuelan energy mechanism, with Beijing as the central buyer of crude oil and a strategic partner in financing and trade?

Can the U.S. threat against Panama be understood without linking it to the cession of control of important ports linked to the Canal—structurally decisive from a commercial and military point of view—to Chinese capital, in a context of competition for geoeconomic influence?

Can the attacks, sanctions, and pressures against Iran be explained without considering the flow of oil toward China, Tehran’s close alliances with Beijing and Moscow, and the relevance of those ties to the global rivalry between power blocs?

And finally, can the U.S. threats against Denmark over Greenland—a region rich in rare earths and other critical resources with direct implications for the European Union and semiconductor supply chains—be understood without placing them at the heart of the imperialist dispute for strategic resources, geopolitical presence, and technological control against China and the European imperialists?

The decline experienced by U.S. imperialism and the rise of China as a power disputing U.S. hegemony have a strong impact on the unfolding of inter-imperialist contradictions. China has become the main creditor, foreign investor, and trading partner on all continents, including Latin America, relegating the United States to the background. Chinese industrial products flood almost every country, while the dollar progressively loses its role as the dominant international currency. With Trump, U.S. imperialism has opted for a policy of force to halt its decline and block China’s rise.

Although the United States continues to be the main global economic power, it faces growing difficulties in confronting and containing its strategic rivals. Its military spending alone exceeds that of the next nine countries combined. Shielded by this overwhelming military superiority, U.S. imperialism seeks to displace and weaken its competitors in regions rich in oil, minerals, and other strategic raw materials, where they have consolidated investments and expanded their commercial ties. Within this framework, it attempts to force its main rival, China, either to accept a relationship of subordination or to precipitate an early confrontation that it is not yet in a condition to win.

Silence in the face of U.S. aggression would not only aggravate the difficulties of its rivals in the fields of energy, raw materials, investment, and trade, but would also erode the credibility of governments like those of Venezuela and Iran, with whom they claim to maintain “good relations.” This passivity, far from containing it, would only further stimulate the aggressiveness of U.S. imperialism.

The intensification of U.S. imperialist aggression is provoking, at the same time, a sharpening of the contradictions between oppressed peoples and dependent countries vis-à-vis imperialism, as well as class contradictions between the bourgeoisie and the working class, insofar as each adopts clearly differentiated positions regarding the events in progress.

The new imperialist offensive

The CIPOML warns that the renewed attempts by imperialist powers—led by U.S. imperialism—to re-divide the world into zones of control, domination, and exploitation entail extremely grave dangers for workers, peoples, and nations. This process constitutes an offensive designed to crush the struggles of the peoples for their social and national liberation, and deepens the risk of a new imperialist war.

Alongside military and political aggression, the imperialist offensive is activating openly fascist and neo-fascist political projects that are gaining influence on a global scale.

Imperialism, war, and deception

The peoples of the world confirm, once again and through painful experiences, that when imperialist powers speak of peace, they are in reality preparing for new scenarios of war and aggression. These maneuvers aim to subjugate peoples and nations, plunder their resources, and swell the profits of the imperialist military-industrial complex.

No imperialist country—beyond the deception of feigning support for tactical backing purposes—will come to the aid of the peoples’ struggles for democracy, freedom, and true independence. Despite the worsening of their internal contradictions and conflicts, imperialist powers always manage to reach agreements when it comes to safeguarding the interests of big capital and sabotaging struggles for national and social liberation.

The tasks of the working class and the peoples

In this complex scenario, in which the historic incapacity of the bourgeoisie in the fight against imperialism is once again made evident, the CIPOML underscores once more that the only force capable of frustrating imperialist aggression is the organized struggle of the peoples, under the leadership of the working class, for a democratic order of social and national liberation with a socialist perspective.

It is urgent to strengthen unity work with social and political forces interested in confronting imperialism; to work for the development of a broad global anti-imperialist and anti-fascist front; to raise the struggle against war, for peace and the international solidarity of the peoples; and against the violence generated by the prevailing system.

The unification and mobilization of all democratic forces and sectors, both at the national and international levels, constitute a task of the first order.

Today, the condemnation of U.S. aggression and solidarity with the workers and people of Venezuela acquire special importance.

No imperialist intervention in Venezuela!

Long live the struggle of the workers and the Venezuelan people for their social and national liberation!

The International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organisations (CIPOML) expresses its strongest condemnation of the treacherous military aggression by the US government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The air strikes and the abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife to the United States—following an economic blockade, political threats, and the seizure of trade ships imposed by Washington—are a clear violation of international law and the principle of self-determination, as well as a clear act of piracy. CIPOML believes American imperialism seeks to punish a people who challenge the hegemony historically imposed on the continent and who have shown the determination to control their own destiny and natural resources. With this attack on Venezuela, the American imperialists are not only attempting to seize the fate and resources of the Venezuelan people; it is a threat and a warning to the peoples of the world, especially those in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The attack on Venezuela comes shortly after attempts to establish American hegemony in the Middle East—aiming to completely rid the region of anti-American forces—where Trump, the leader of American imperialism, threatened to intervene against Iran. This imperialist aggressor, claiming to be the master and policeman of the world, attacks any power it views as an obstacle and must be stopped.

The principle of indivisible sovereignty over the American continent, announced by US imperialism at the end of November as an update to the Monroe Doctrine, is the basis of these imperialist atrocities against Venezuela.

This new imperialist attack on Venezuela is the latest step in a systematic strategy to gain control over countries that choose to follow their own path. In this context, Venezuelan sovereignty is part and parcel of the pride of its people. Defending Venezuela’s independence and sovereignty must therefore be an indispensable priority for all progressive and revolutionary forces aiming for a world based on peaceful coexistence and non-interference in internal affairs.

CIPOML therefore calls for active opposition to this attack, which adds new elements of turbulence to the international situation.

The voices of the workers and the people must be strong in defense of Venezuela. We reaffirm that we will not allow the rights to sovereignty and peace to be violated for a people who aim to build their future without foreign guardianship.

Israel’s aggression against Iran, which started on 13 June with intensive air strikes and assassinations, continues. Same is the justification for the attack on Iraq was ‘Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction’, the justification for the attack on Iran is ‘Iran’s nuclear programme’.

Agencies are reporting that Trump has approved the US imperialism’s plan to attack Iran, but has not yet ordered the attack, giving Iran the ‘chance’ to ‘step back’ and ‘surrender’.

The truth is that the US has not only participated in the Israeli aggression against Iran from the very beginning, but has also directed and managed this aggression.

American imperialism has put into effect its strategic plan to redesign the Middle East with the genocidal attack of Israeli Zionism targeting Gaza, and after taking a step forward in Lebanon, with the support of the Saudis and Gulf Emirates and with the initiative of Turkey and Israel, it has realised regime change in Syria and targeted Iran, whose influence in the region has been limited by weakening its allies.

Israel, which cannot be doubted as an accursed aggressor, is a striking force of American imperialism, which aims to take the Middle East under its unconditional domination by neutralising and excluding its rivals, including border and regime changes in certain countries. It is not that it does not have its own special interests and aims, such as becoming the dominant regional power, and it even forces the USA to achieve these aims from time to time, but it harmonises its own with its strategic aims, approaches and plans and is used by the USA as a striking force.

Israel, which also produces weapons but receives unlimited arms, ammunition and space intelligence support from the USA, does not conceive of itself and its aggression without the USA to such an extent that it was able to start bombing Iran without any concern, even though it had a stock of missiles for a week and ten days.

This is evident in the statements and declarations of Trump, who has presented himself as the ‘commander-in-chief’ of the war. It was he who called on Iran to ‘surrender’, it was he who said that ‘the problem will be solved if Iran returns to the nuclear negotiations and signs the agreement as he said it would be signed’.

At the moment, American imperialism and Israeli Zionism are bombarding Iran with bombs and missiles and raining blood and cruelty from the air on the Iranian people, Persian, Azerbaijani and Kurdish. The son of the Shah, who was overthrown by the Iranian Revolution in 1979, has already declared his readiness to rule Iran in line with the interests and directives of American imperialism.

Today, when the bombs are killing the Iranian people, it is not the time to make speeches on the ‘reactionary and popular hostility of the Mullahs’ and justify the American-Israeli aggression. The Mullahs are undoubtedly reactionary, but the task of the day is to stop the brutal American-Israeli aggression.

We condemn the American-Israeli aggression against Iran. There is no doubt that the Iranian workers and people have the right to defend themselves and we call on the peoples of the Middle East and the world to struggle against imperialism and Zionism.

In a world characterised by the sharpening of inter-imperialist contradictions, and the rise of the struggle of the working class and the peoples against the domination of the bourgeoisie and imperialism, workers across the globe are preparing to commemorate May Day, a day that champions the struggle of the international proletariat for its demands and rights, to achieve its social emancipation.

American imperialism has launched the first volleys in a new trade war, which will cause serious negative consequences for the growth of the global economy. There’s a consensus of opinion that the tariff policy implemented by Donald Trump will provoke a recessionary process; international bodies such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have made downward revisions to their growth forecasts for the global economy in this year, 2025. The world was scandalised – and rightly so – by the fall of stock markets in the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America in the days following 2nd April, the date on which Trump announced the new tariffs; large international monopolies “lost” millions of dollars due to the drop in their share prices, amounts which, incidentally, are later recovered. However, the most serious aspect is that in times of recession and economic crisis, it is the workers who are most affected because companies close down, jobs are lost, inflation increases, and the purchasing power of wages deteriorates. State budgets are cut and redirected, mechanisms are sought to intensify the exploitation of workers and maximise the profits of the bourgeoisie, who are also granted incentives and tax reductions. Ultimately, it is the people who bear the brunt of the crisis. That is the logic of capitalism.

The international policy of the head of American imperialism seeks to regain ground lost in recent years in its position as a hegemonic power. That’s why it has China as its primary target of attack, as it is the only capitalist-imperialist power that, at this moment, has set out to challenge that hegemony, and is successfully doing so. Trump’s threatening rhetoric against those who “rebel” against his tariff policy is now also being used by Xi Jinping against countries that sign trade agreements with the US that harm China.

Tensions are escalating on the international stage, and the risk of the trade war leading to confrontations of another kind, including in the military sphere, is present. Trump’s interest in closing the chapter of the war in Ukraine is not due to any genuine interest in promoting peace. The militaristic inclination of Trump and the circle governing in the White House is evident in the threats to send troops to the Panama Canal to gain control of it, in the announcement of taking Greenland, in the economic and military support for the Israeli Zionist regime that murders the Palestinian people, and in the bombings launched in Yemen, to cite a few cases.

We are currently witnessing the growth of right-wing conservative, reactionary, fascist, and philo-fascist political forces. Trump’s presence in the US presidency encourages these sectors on the international stage. They are not the only enemies of the workers and the peoples; the international bourgeoisie also has other instruments for deception: social democracy, progressivism, and opportunism. We must confront both, as an indispensable condition for advancing the organisation of our forces with class independence.

From the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organisations (CIPOML), we call on the workers of the world, the youth and women of the popular sectors, the oppressed peoples and nationalities to work for the strengthening of the unity of the exploited and oppressed, to strengthen their social and political organisations to confront the bourgeoisie and imperialism, to raise the struggle for their particular demands and rights, to direct our struggles towards the triumph of the social revolution of the proletariat and the construction of socialism and communism.

Long live May Day, international day of unity, solidarity, and struggle of the working class!

Solidarity with the Palestinian people facing the genocidal Israeli Zionism!

With Marxism-Leninism, for revolution and socialism!

Resignation of Erdogan’s one-man government!

Tens of thousands of workers, students, pensioners, youth, men and women have taken to the streets of several cities in Turkey to express their repudiation of the reactionary government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The cry is unanimous: Erdogan’s resignation! Shoulder to shoulder against fascism!

The mass protests are in response to the illegal and arbitrary arrest of the mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem İmamoğlu, and more than a hundred other people on the same day. İmamoğlu has become a risk for the continuity of Erdogan’s one-man regime with fascist tendencies, all political-electoral analyses agree that he would win the upcoming presidential elections, that is why they want him out of the race. The current Turkish president is far from thinking of a democratic transition; indeed, he plans to push through a constitutional reform that would make him president for life. The imprisonment of the Istanbul mayor is not the only case; there have been dozens of arrests and dismissals of opposition mayors, mainly in the Kurdish provinces.

The rapid and massive proliferation of social protests is due to the accumulated discontent of the workers and the people with the government, due to the accelerated deterioration of their living conditions, the regime’s accentuated anti-democratic and repressive profile. The local elections in March 2024 were already a thermometer of the mood of the people against the government: Erdogan suffered a heavy political defeat.

We express our solidarity with the workers, youth and peoples of Turkey who have taken to the streets to confront an authoritarian government, which on various occasions and in various circumstances has resorted to the use of guns to quell protests; we condemn the violent repression being exercised against those who protest; we also reject the attempt to criminalise the activity of political, trade union and popular opposition organisations. In particular, we express our solidarity with the comrades of the Partido del Trabajo, EMEP, who today, once again, are part of the torrent that fights for democracy, freedom and social transformation.

The international solidarity of the working class is crucial to strengthen the struggle against the increased danger of war and militarization. It is the response to the efforts of bourgeoisie and monopolies to make the working classes of each country undercut each other. It is a necessary part in the struggle against the EU and European countries’ anti-labour plan to “Make Europe great again” (MEGA) through the redistribution of billions of social assets to the war industry and the strengthening of the European monopolies.

Strengthening European imperialism is not the answer to the current situation. The imperialist EU does not mean peace and security, but the opposite. This has been clearly demonstrated by the war in Ukraine and support for Israel’s genocide in Palestine.

We say Neither Trump, nor Poutine nor European “defense”!

With the inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the USA, international conflicts, including those between the USA and the EU, have dramatically intensified. Trump is the representative of the currently most aggressive sections of US capital, who want to stop and reverse the decades-long decline of US imperialism in a violent way and to make US imperialism “great again”. To mobilize great parts of society for the aims of imperialism, we can observe an accelerating fascization in the USA and worldwide.

All this is an expression of the increasing contradictions between the imperialist powers like USA, EU, China, Russia. Especially the rise of the capitalist and imperialist China has heated up the competition and struggle for world economic domination. Trump and several of his administration officials have always referred to China as the USA’s “strategic” enemy. It is the only major imperialist power that can challenge US hegemony, especially if it can develop alliances.

To win this struggle US-Imperialism has made an important change in his foreign relations. Trump seeks for an agreement with Russia on Ukraine to redistribute this country and his important resources. US-Imperialism seeks to weaken the links between Russia and China and to create new alliances. By doing this he open shows the real aim of the war in Ukraine: A battle over land and resources in which Ukrainian soldiers are dying on behalf of US and EU capital, not for “freedom or democracy”. How fragile these attempts of US-imperialism to create new alliances are, we can see, when the Trump-administration threatens Russia with new blockades and higher tariffs, because Russian imperialism took advantage of the situation to occupy larger parts of Ukraine. It’s a deal between robbers at the expense of the peoples.

For the imperialist countries in Europe, especially Germany and France, this change means a weakening of their influence.

In Ukraine they have tried to be an important player in the deal of the robbers. They too wanted to gain the control over the raw materials, cheap energy and to extend their sphere of influence. They have made high investments by selling weapons, giving loans, incitement of war to bring defeat to Russia. Now they are in a fear not to participate in the division of the loot.

Their answer to this new situation is more weapons, more militarization and more austerity policy. EU has now approved a package of 800 billion Euros for armaments, while it continues to cooperate closely with NATO warmongering alliance. At the same time all European countries increase their military budget. Germany for example has approved an additional budget of 1.000 billion Euros. France is offering its atomic weapons as a protection shield for Europe, but under the control of French imperialism. Great Britain seeks to have more military cooperation with EU. Although EU membership was rejected in a referendum in Norway in 1994 by the majority of the people, Norway’s ruling class is now under the pretext of “security” striving for EU membership.

EU and Great Britain encourages Ukrainian leadership to continue, intensify and prolong the war. But the “European unity” is fragile because of the competition between the imperialist countries. France and Germany are struggling against each other for the leadership in Europe. Italy with the ultra-reactionary Meloni-government tries to install special relations to Trump, like Hungary too. With this reactionary policy of militarization fascist and racist forces are in the rise in whole Europe.

All this threatens the working class and the people in whole Europe. With fascization, capital wants to subordinate the working class to its policies and at the same time weaken it through division and hatred. They have to pay – with social cuts, lowering wages, extending work time, worsening living conditions and in case of war with their lives – as we can see in Ukraine.

We as Marxist-Leninist parties and organizations in Europe call on the working class and the peoples to unite against this policy on their backs and to fight against it together, for bread, freedom, peace and friendship among peoples – instead of misery, fascism, rearmament and wars of plunder.

Only the unity and struggle of the working class and the oppressed people against the barbaric capitalist-imperialist system will open the way for fundamental changes in the conditions of labour and social life.

Neither Trump, nor Poutine or European “defense”!

No to national unity behind warmongers!

No to militarization and fascization!
