We, the Coordinating Committee of the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations (CIPOML) strongly condemn and reject the US imperialist interventionist policy against Iran, its workers and peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nregion of the Middle East is the scene of sharp confrontations in which the\ngeopolitical interests of several imperialist powers (the United States,\nRussia, China, European countries) and their reactionary regional allied forces\nare played out. In their contention for regional control, they impose economic\nsanctions, provoke wars and military invasions, as has happened and is\ncontinuing in Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria. Today there is a danger\nof a new US military operation against Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To\njustify their interventionism, the US imperialists \u2013along with their\nreactionary allies\u2013 have mounted a worldwide campaign of lies and\nmisinformation regarding the nuclear program carried out by Iran, stigmatizing\nit as a risk to regional and world peace. In reality the danger of war comes\nfrom the interimperialist contention, in the voracious appetites of the\nmonopolies that, in this case, have established themselves in the Persian Gulf\nregion or want to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
US\nimperialism is characterized by its warmongering policy that is well known to\nthe people. Months ago, unilaterally, the United States abandoned the Joint Comprehensive\nPlan of Action (JCPA) and when it was in it, it failed to fulfil its\ncommitments. At the same time it is intensifying its threatening and\nintimidating offensive, while maintaining economic and commercial sanctions\nagainst Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nprovocations of the United States in the Persian Gulf region are acts of\ninternational terrorism. The dozens of military bases, especially of the United\nStates in the Middle East, are sources of threats and provocations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nvictims of this type of conflict are the workers and the people, while for the\nmonopoly groups, the imperialist powers and bourgeois factions it is an\nopportunity to expand and consolidate their power and increase their millions\nin profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On behalf of the parties and organizations of CIPOML, we express our solidarity with the workers and peoples of Iran, with their brave struggle for democracy and freedom, against imperialism in defence of the right to self-determination of the people, for the sovereignty and independence of their country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only\nthe peoples of Iran, not the foreign powers, have the right to determine the\ncourse of their country. All imperialist powers must leave the region \u2013only this\ncan guarantee peace and security for the peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No to US\nimperialist interventionism in Iran; long live the sovereignty of Iran!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reject\nUS economic sanctions against Iran!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Long\nlive the struggle of the workers and peoples of Iran!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
