The CIPOML conference\nconvened in October at a time when the peoples in Asia, Africa and Latin\nAmerica have risen up one after another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
International bourgeoisie and\ncapitalism do nothing, but increase social problems, always adding new ones and\nrendering them unsurmountable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let us recall how they\npromised peace and welfare for everyone with the New World Order, and how\nexploitation and social classes would end with globalisation when it\ntransformed the world into \u201ca small village\u201d and rid the humanity of their\nproblems!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The working class and the\noppressed peoples of the world have been experiencing the opposite of these\nclaims through the unbearable deterioration of their living and working\nconditions. The workers are coming to terms with the fact that capitalism has\nnothing to offer through their own experience in soaring unemployment,\ndecreasing wages, increasing poverty due to the cuts in social services and\nrising prices and taxes, and deteriorating conditions for the very basic\nnecessities. And the source of all these problems is the fact that capitalist\nproduction is made to increase the profit of the monopolies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This decay manifests itself\nin the crisis that many dependent countries have already been dragged into, and\nin the capitalist world as a whole it has led to a slow down in economic\ngrowth, especially in industrial production, accompanied by a decrease in\ncapacity utilisation, factory closures and lay offs. There are signs that the\nnext crisis of capitalist world economy will be much more severe than the one\nin 2008. And this time, as major imperialist states do not have the opportunity\nto have centrally implemented interventions, the crisis will have more\ndestructive consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sharpening\ninter-imperialist and inter-monopoly contradictions and increasing conflicting\ninterests have already led to the \u201ctrade wars\u201d. These contradictions and\nconflicts result from the drive of imperialist monopolies for maximum profit\nand surely have a negative impact on the world economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uneven development of\nmonopolies and imperialist countries, just like enterprises and sectors, lead\nto differentiations in the level of power of monopolist financial capital\ngroups and of imperialist countries, which in turn leads to demands for a new\nappropriation of the world. The US, China, Russia, and the German-French\nimperialists dominating the EU that is riddled with contradictions, are the\nleading imperialists, and among them the US-China conflict appears in the\nforefront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The US is the biggest\nhegemonic imperialist power due to its industrial and financial base, the size\nof the countries and regions dependent on it, the dollar \u201cweapon\u201d, its military\nbases all around the world, its continuing ability to impose its will on the\nWestern powers through also NATO despite the differences of interest in between\nthem and its military spending surpassing the total of the rest. The hysteria\nto protect what it has renders the US aggressive and war mongering, making it\nmore reckless. China, on the other hand, with the completely modern technical\nbasis of its capitalism and the resulting rapid industrial and economic growth,\nwith the level of capital accumulation and the resulting economic expansion and\nits potential to surpass the US, is a rising imperialist power which cannot\nrefrain from bringing on the agenda the redivision of the world, and is on the\nmove to improve its military apparatus accordingly. The conflict between the US\nand China as well as the fights between the others to protect what they have\nand expand at the expense of the other have already spread in all continents,\nincluding proxy wars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inter-imperialist\ncontradictions and conflicts have a negative effect on the world economy and\nlead to the deterioration of the living and working conditions of the exploited\nmasses as the imperialists aim to exploit the working class and the oppressed\npeoples and plunder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In conflict with one another\nin every part of the world, and concentrating in some regions, no imperialist\npower is a friend for the workers and peoples. Their promises to help peoples\neconomically or politically, to bring independence and democracy for example,\nare just big lies. They are all exploiting and plundering monopolist bullies\nand no matter what they promise they are only concerned with making profits at\nthe expense of peoples and expanding their hegemonic spheres by making peoples\ndependent on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While no imperialist is\nhesitating to take advantage of the smallest of opportunities to ransack the\nriches of the peoples and expand their economic and political influence by\nspreading relations of dependency, the US imperialism in particular, is on the\noffensive against the peoples through a series of sanctions, embargoes and\noccupations using its over 800 military bases, Israeli Zionism, and regional\nreactionary powers such as Saudi Arabia and Colombia. It still retains\noccupying forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. This continues with the intervention\nin Syria and the embargoes against Cuba, Venezuela and Iran. It has been a\nwhile since it relocated its embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CIPOML condemns all these\nattacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unconditionally defending the\nright of all peoples and nations to self-determine, including also the right of\nthe founding separate states, CIPOML also declares its solidarity with all the\noppressed peoples and liberation struggles with primarily those of Venezuela,\nIran, Palestine, Kurds, Cuba and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fact that the\ncontradictions between labour and capital, between imperialists and peoples and\nbetween imperialists themselves are intensifying means that capitalist\nimperialist aggression is increasing, so is the danger of fascism and war.\nUnless this course of events is averted, surely the working class and the\noppressed peoples are in for worse to unfold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unless the ruling class\ncannot overcome the crisis of capitalism, whose decay and impasse is deepening,\nand suppress the demands of the working class and peoples, then it will be so\nnatural for them to resort to fascism, which is a more intense form of the\nmonopolist reactionary tendency. And inter-imperialist dog fights lead to a new\nimperialist war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, it is also true that\nall the negative consequences of capitalism lead to the mobilisations of the\nworking class and of the oppressed peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In India, it was not long ago\nthat 200 million workers went on a general strike. In Iran, the strikes and\nmobilisations of last year involving tens of thousands of workers were also\nwitnessed this year. While strikes have been increasing in Europe, we have seen\nseveral strike actions in the US over the last couple of years; the metal\nworkers’ strike being the latest example. After a long period of stagnation,\nthe working class is in a state of new mobilisations, and this can be observed\nin various strikes and other actions of all sizes, although they are not yet\nunited nationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also witnessed the\noutbreak of many popular movements in October, resulting from the destructive\noutcomes of capitalism and the repression of the reactionary forces. In many\ncountries these movements have shown tendency to turn into uprisings and began\nto have a political character. In Burkina Faso, the people had foiled the\nmilitary coup 4 years ago. In Sudan, Omar al Bashir was overthrown. In Algeria,\nBouteflika had to resign and later withdrew his candidacy. In Lebanon, Prime\nMinister Hariri resigned. While the Iraqi Prime Minister resigned, the head of\nstate dismissed the government in Chile. In Ecuador, President Moreno had to\ncancel his austerity package. In Haiti, Iraq, Honduras, Guinea, etc. the\nstruggle of the people who rose up could not be suppressed. The number of\npopular uprisings with large working class participation are on the rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The uprising of the working\nclass and peoples against the plunder and oppression by the monopolies and\nimperialism is the only way of stopping the aggression of capital, preventing\nthe danger of fascism and war, as well as national and social emancipation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Social reformism is falling\ninto a void as it is not able to hold onto the rising working class and\npeoples. It is only natural that the calming down effect of reformism which\nsuggests nothing but conciliation between the objectively revolutionary popular\nstruggles and the reactionary forces is broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our conference calls the workers from all countries\nthat:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The only prescription for our\nemancipation is to fight against capitalism without any expectations from any\nbourgeois faction or imperialist power and to abolish the hegemony of capital\nand the relations of exploitation. We must end the bourgeois rule and organise\nas the hegemonic class, depending on nothing but our own power. <\/p>\n\n\n\n However, we cannot achieve\nthis if we are disunited and unorganised. We must, therefore, organise in our\nindependent working class parties in our countries, if there is one, and if\nnot, found one, and carry out our class struggle independently from the\nbourgeoisie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With this in mind, we must\nnot only take part in popular struggles which develop outside our initiative,\nbut lead them, organising the struggles of the working people of the town and\nthe country and directing these struggles against capitalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our conference also calls for the scale up of the\nstruggle of the oppressed peoples and nations of the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The only way of getting rid\nof imperialist and monopolist plunder and oppression is to carry out an\nuncompromising fight against the imperialist powers and monopolies. We must\nfollow the example of the struggles that take place in other countries, helping\nto develop one in our own country and expand it. Peoples have no other friend\nbut themselves. We can depend on ourselves alone and the workers that form part\nof peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Uniting, organising and\nrising up the struggle against imperialism and monopolies are what we need.
