Only workers in power will liberate humanity from exploitation, oppression, and war.

In May 1886, the blood of workers spilled in Chicago ignited a struggle that still burns throughout the world: the fight against capitalist exploitation and the unwavering path toward life and the emancipation of workers. And this May Day, in every corner of the planet, the working class will commemorate their martyrdom not as an act of faith or resignation, but as a battle cry that resounds against the exploitation of capital.

Today, the workers of the world have more than enough reasons to rise up: countless demands are emerging from factories, fields, and cities, wherever exploitation deepens and life becomes increasingly precarious. Among these sentiments, the condemnation of the resurgence of US imperialism’s aggression resonates strongly. Together with Israeli Zionism, US imperialism has brought war to the Middle East, with attacks and military intervention against Iran and Lebanon in a conflict that has escalated with bombings and troop deployments. They are perpetrating a genocide against the Palestinian people, while simultaneously maintaining policies of pressure and aggression against nations like Venezuela and Cuba.

The aggression of US imperialism is not an isolated event, but rather a symptom of a decline it has been experiencing for years; a desperate response to preserve its global hegemony against what it identifies as its main rival, imperialist China, which today is challenging its economic and geopolitical power. In this struggle between powers, where alliances are being reconfigured and conflicts intensifying –as so often in history– it is the workers, the youth, and the people who bear the brunt of the crisis, the war, and the exploitation.

Faced with this reality, the workers and the people cannot and must not take sides with one power or another; Imperialism, by its very nature, is rapacious and an enemy of the people, regardless of the guise it adopts. Amidst the intensification of inter-imperialist contradictions, our position is clear: we do not align ourselves with one power or another, but with those who resist and fight.

We stand with the peoples who struggle for their emancipation, for their right to exist with dignity and sovereignty. We raise our banners of solidarity with Iran, Lebanon, the heroic Palestinian people, and with all those who, in every corner of the world, confront capitalist exploitation, oppression, and violence. Their struggles are our struggles, because in each one lies the possibility of a different future, a world without classes or exploitation.

In the current context, we call for the unity of all anti-imperialist and anti-fascist forces to confront the enemies of the people. It is necessary to block their path with a firm and powerful unity, one that is not merely a slogan, but organized and conscious action.

Let our strength be expressed in daily action, in every space where workers resist, in every country where voices rise up against exploitation and injustice. Let us build a front that acts globally, nourished by the concrete battles we wage in our territories, capable of striking at imperialism and paving the way for emancipation.

The capitalist system faces a critical moment today that exposes its inability to guarantee life. While we witness a greater concentration of wealth in the hands of a few, the living conditions of the working class and the popular sectors are deteriorating alarmingly.

The economic adjustment policies, implemented by governments in the service of capital, have only led to increased poverty rates, higher unemployment, and greater levels of exploitation. Capitalism is not –and never was– a path to well-being for the people.

To achieve true emancipation, it is a historical imperative to overthrow the capitalist-imperialist system. Instead, let us build a new society, founded on the expropriation of the expropriators, justice, and free and dignified work: the workers’ society, socialism.

Long live May Day, the International Day of Unity, Struggle, and Solidarity of the Working Class!

Long live the workers’ struggle!

Death to criminal imperialism and Zionism!
