The law authorizing the execution of Palestinian prisoners is a fascist law

On March 30, the Israeli Knesset passed a law granting Israeli courts the power to hand down death sentences against Palestinian prisoners without fully guaranteeing their right to a defense. This reveals the fascist nature of Israeli Zionism, which not only tortures and murders women, children, and the elderly, but also resorts to physical elimination in prison. This death penalty is not applied to Israeli citizens under the same legal framework.

The criminals Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, and Smeitrich have exploited the global obsession with the devastating US war against Iran and Lebanon, and its economic and financial repercussions for the region and the world, to impose the most racist and discriminatory laws imaginable. These laws grant the courts unlimited powers to murder Palestinians under the guise of legality. They are specifically targeted against Palestinians and contain no similar provisions to address the crimes of settlers, even when they deliberately murder Palestinians for political revenge, with complete impunity and without fear of being held accountable or prosecuted by powerless international organizations.

This is happening with the complicity of imperialist states and reactionary Arab regimes that have supported the Zionist regime since the beginning of the war of extermination against the Palestinian people, who defend their land and dignity with exceptional resilience and dedication. The actions of today’s criminals are reminiscent of the massacres and atrocities perpetrated by Nazism and colonialism against numerous resistance movements around the world.

The law authorizing the execution of prisoners demonstrates the occupying state’s contempt for principles and values, as well as for the minimum legal standards established by international agreements that demand the humane treatment of prisoners of war. This situation has sparked a wave of widespread outrage among democratic organizations and revolutionary anti-fascist forces, while many reactionary forces and Western capitalist countries remain silent in the face of selective decisions concerning the rights and freedoms of the Palestinian people.

The International Conference of Parties and Organizations Marxist-Leninist (CIPOML) affirms:

– Its categorical rejection of the death penalty law and the Israeli judicial system, as well as its condemnation of the Zionist apartheid regime.

– We express our support for the struggle of the Palestinian people and for the prisoners held in the occupation’s jails, and we call upon democratic and revolutionary organizations and forces worldwide to develop a solidarity campaign with Palestinian political prisoners in Israel.

– The need to take concrete measures, such as the prosecution and trial of those responsible for this law and their political and diplomatic isolation.

– The urgent need to act to ensure the protection of Palestinian prisoners, guarantee the full enjoyment of their rights, and closely monitor Israel’s practices toward them.
