Declaration of CIPOML about the Party of Labour of Iran (Toufan)

Since 2014, we have been engaged in an important discussion with the Party of Labour of Iran (Toufan) regarding various issues. Among them are the nature of imperialism; becoming a defender of a “multi-polar world”; the imperialist character of Chinese and Russian investments and influence in the Islamic Republic of Iran and across the world; the policies of the Iranian regime and its despotic and anti-democratic government; the meaning and essence of the independence of Iran; the right to self-determination of the oppressed nations, not only generally but in the current historical moment, especially the Kurdish nation in Iran and the nations of the Near and Middle East; the revolutionary and anti-imperialist role of the proletariat while the role of Iranian bourgeoisie is counter-revolutionary and only anti-American but not anti-imperialist; the role of women in the democratic struggle and in the transformation process in Iran; and other fundamental aspects related to the strategy and tactics of our Conference.

The parties and the organisations of the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organisations (CIPOML) have concurred on various occasions that the divergent positions held by the Party of Labour (Toufan) of Iran on these aspects over recent years differ substantially from our founding manifesto, our platform of struggle and the ideological and political guidelines of our Conference.

We inform the proletariat and the people of Iran, and all the militants of our parties and organisations, the democratic and anti-imperialist movement, and the forces and organisations of the popular camp that, as a result of this debate and refusal of the Party of Labour (Toufan) of Iran to rectify its positions, it has placed itself outside the ranks of our Conference– a decision we underscore as being its sole responsibility.

We call on all Marxist-Leninists, and revolutionaries in different countries to undertake more vigorously our fundamental tasks of the struggle against imperialism and for socialism, to defend Marxism-Leninism uncompromisingly, to combat old and new ideas alien to the interests of the working class, and to carry on tenaciously the struggle for the objectives and demands of our peoples. We, the CIPOML, as the representative of the proletariat, the main force against all imperialist aggressions and privileges, strongly condemn the aggressions of US imperialism and Israeli Zionism against Iranian people, and call on the proletarian revolutionaries of Iran to establish their proletarian party and unite with us.

All imperialists and reactionaries will be defeated, and we, the proletariat and the peoples of the world will win!
