Hands off Sudan

The Sudanese people have recently suffered an escalation of the reactionary war waged against them, particularly since the coup orchestrated by the two reactionary pillars: the army of the ousted regime, led by Burhan, and the Janjaweed militias, led by Hemedti. The already impoverished population is paying a heavy price and enduring systematic atrocities such as forced displacement, famine, rape and murder. Among the most recent are the horrific massacres perpetrated in El Fasher, Bara and other areas of Darfur by the Rapid Support Forces after the army’s shameful and cowardly withdrawal. This withdrawal left defenceless civilians exposed to appalling violations, similar to those that took place and continue to take place in Gaza and the territories occupied by Zionist Nazism.

What the Sudanese people are suffering is punishment for their uprising and struggle for liberation against the reactionaries who ruled them for decades and turned against them. These reactionaries, represented by the army and the Rapid Support Forces, are the representatives of the parasitic and rentier classes, supported by regional and international powers working to fragment Sudan and confiscate its resources and wealth, as part of plans to reshape, divide and further enslave the region. As always, the criminal forces that intervene, finance and arm are the same ones that are working to set the entire region ablaze. We are talking about the Zionist state, the puppet and treacherous regimes of the United Arab Emirates and American imperialism.

The International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organisations (CIPOML), while monitoring developments in Sudan and the region,

– Condemns the reactionary war being waged against the Sudanese people and joins all voices calling for an immediate end to hostilities and emergency humanitarian aid for the populations of the affected areas.

– Holds the Rapid Support Forces, a creation supported by the United Arab Emirates and backed by local, regional and imperialist gangs of looters and bandits, fully responsible for the recent crimes.

– Reaffirms its full solidarity with the Sudanese people and their revolutionary and progressive forces in their just struggle to overthrow the two branches of the anti-patriotic regime, whose only concern is to remain in power at the cost of death, starvation and displacement of millions of innocent people.

– Calls on all free men and women around the world to support forgotten Sudan. Its oppressors are exploiting global concern for events in Gaza/Palestine to perpetrate the most heinous crimes against it, crimes that amount to genocide.

All our solidarity with the people of Sudan.
