In KANAKY (New Caledonia) huge popular mobilisations took place against French government which has stopped the process that opened the way to independence for Kanaky. The only response was repression, deployment of 6000 armed forces (police, army …) and arrests.
Leaders of the movement for independence have been arrested, deported and jailed in prisons in France, at in distance of 17000 km to their land.
We express our solidarity with the movement for independence and its organizations.
We call for liberation of the political prisoners.
In Martinique, a strong popular movement developed against the high prices of products of consumption (40% higher than in France). It’s a consequence of the colonial system of domination.
It is also a protest against the massive poisoning of the whole population by very dangerous product used for decades by the big producers of bananas (90% of the population is affected). The colonial state has refused to recognise its responsibility and negate all types of medical attention.
We express our solidarity to the movement, to the social organisation, the trade unions, the political parties…, which organize the resistance of the people.
